During peak hours, Regal tends to get very busy, leading to longer wait times and difficulties in parking. Some patrons note that the ordering process at the counter feels unusual compared to typical table service. While the atmosphere is generally pleasant, it can get a bit crowded, especially on sunny days. As a casual dining establishment, noise levels can become high during rush periods, which might detract from a quiet meal.
We both had fantastic cod chips and mushy peas with a nice cup of tea. £37 for the two of us and portion size was very generous so make sure your hungry
Went here for my partners sisters birthday. The food was good as were the portion sizes and it was hot which was great so all freshly made. Easily accessible for wheelchairs and buggies and right on the sea front so you step out and over the road is the sea. Gets extremely busy in hot weather so allow time for parking as that is a bit of a struggle unless you are able to park a distance away and walk there which is what we did. Friendly staff and good service.
We went out of way to come to this place as we had heard that you can always rely on a great fish and chips meal here. We chose our own table for 4 persons in the window (Table 23) and checked through the menu card. You then have to order at the counter which is a little weird as there seem to be enough young ladies on duty. But OK. We ordered cod & chips, twice, plaice and chips and a saveloy. Mushy peas were extra as were three tiny sachets of brown sauce. All for an extra fiver. With our drinks, including a chilled pint of "Level Head" ale, the whole meal came to a round 60 pounds. We ate there ca. 18:00 which may have been a bit early for most folks and which may have accounted for the sparse number of fellow diners there. No matter. We enjoyed the food and drink and left feeling happy.
amazing place near the sea, you can take out food or eat on site. we decided to dine inside, the atmosphere is very nice, it was a little hot, but it did not stop us from enjoying very tasty food. The staff is very polite, nice, everyone is very friendly, they came up to us and asked if we liked everything, I was here with my family for the first time and I am sure that I will come here more than once. 🥰
Best fish and chip shop for miles around. Been going here for years because they are so consistently good. I'll go out of my way to get my fish & chips from here. Gorgeously cooked chips, no sharp inedible little ones. Butchers sausages (the likes of which I've not had since living in Lincolnshire). Why don't all f&c shops offer these. Fish fresh with chunky flakes. This shop beats any I've visited in Whitby and Aldeburgh. So good
Can highly recommend the Regal Fish Bar and restaurant in Felixstowe, had the senior citizens fish & chips, I was amazed at the size of the fish plus chips for what we paid, excellent value, you can take away or sit in the restaurant although there was a small seating area outside where we enjoyed ours.
Incredible fish and chips! Staff were super friendly and the portion size and quality was second to none!
The cod and chips are a standout, but don't miss out on the homemade prawn cocktail and the variety of vegetarian options like cheesy chips and curry sauce.
